It Begins With A Tour Poster
My first job for Joss Stone was to create a poster to promote her 2023 ‘20 Years of Soul’ tour. The success of this design resulted in the style being carried across Joss Stone’s website, music platforms, tour credentials, and entire social media presence.
That year, the poster was used in Europe, North America, and South America, adorning famous venues such as the House of Blues in Boston.
Since then, we have gone on to create one-off prints for standout shows, most recently at the Royal Albert Hall. For her 2024 Ellipsis tour, I was challenged to design a bespoke tie-dye-inspired backdrop, which is now following Joss Stone and her band around the world on tour.

Creating a 16x8m tie-dye print wasn’t possible, so I was called in to replicate the effect digitally. We also incorporated three symbols that visually represent the ‘Ellipsis’ tour.
Since it was handmade digitally, this allowed it to be displayed on LED walls when available. The file is also layered, enabling added effects and programming with lights.

Joss has been a prominent figure in the music industry since the age of 16, and her unmistakable voice is now close to earning her legendary status.
I looked back over Joss’s career for direction and was met with influences from the '70s and the hippy movement.
Combined with her favourite colour, purple, we created a groovy design style that could be replicated across online platforms, merchandise, and printed promotions.
